I've been contemplating setting up a proxy and a firewall for quite a while.
Would it be best to set them up on one machine, or separate the duties?
Also, what specs (ie ram and hd) would be useful for a proxy for a home/work
network with 2-3 users? And given the amount of graphical crap found on the
net today, and the volume issues that are being raised by ISP's, is it
easier to cut out images from the likes of doubleclick via squid or
junkbuster, or both?

I've successfully set up SSH and SCP and the secure remote login works
wonderfully through the M11 now. I've tested it on a couple of trips
recently and it was great. Thank you all for your help!!!

The next stage... well, as mentioned above a firewall and proxy would be
nice and I will investigate those. I also have an imap server running which
I dump archived mail into from my win2k laptop. Is the easiest way to do
this remotely going to be by an SSL imap connection? How do I go about
setting this up?

Again, thanks in advance for any help! It is most appreciated!

Cheers Gav
