xdm still ran if I put it back in prefdm, but I had quite a few custom
settings in my config to support remote X servers, and the boot-rom LTSP X
terminals, they all disappeared down the digital toilet.  (And I didn't have
them documented well enough to put them back in...)

Um.. Cool.. I was running xdm as well, but did not test it..
