52 is little on the high side. As a general rule of
thumb anything under 50 ok. But AMD's in general do
run hot. A quick(cheap) way to decrease temps is to
add some thermal paste (arctic silver v3) on to the
top of CPU DIE, this allows for a better contact
between the DIE and the cooler and thus better heat
transfer. 

The "gunk" that come standard with the cooler is not
that good, just clean that away and apply the arctive
silver.

You can get arctice silver from www.tastech.co.nz,
www.dragonpc.co.nz around $20 mark and it does a lot
cpu's. (or if your like me a lot of different
coolers).  :))
