I have had quite a few problems with Konqueror and floppy disks. I always seem to have some lock, slow down or problem. I suspect that konqueror is at fault. When working with floppies now, I use a shell (I like konsole). I also run MDK8.2, it migh be just the version of konqueror that mdk8.2 comes with. On the other had, the webserver I admin has been up 4 weeks (tomorrow), no problems (Debain Sid, no X).
