Quite a high load avg for a firewall! I used to be a bit of an uptime freak, my best was about 2years 8 months. Without a UPS. During that time I remember having the case completely in pieces to paint it, without bothering to power down. The uptime counter on the kernel (2.0.32) looped back to zero on more than one occasion. Newer kernels use a bigger data field so I don't think I'll ever see that happen again. When some contractors sliced our power feed I was finally able to fit the spare 6Gb hard drive and solve all my disk space problems, and install a newer distro with a more recent kernel. I was having problems compiling stuff with all my old libs, and couldn't be bothered downloading them at 33kbps. It took me ages to find out that OpenSSH required zlib. After that, I just don't care about uptime :) Currently I'm at 10 days due to an accidental short across the +5V power (oops), while reassembling the case after some minor mods to that paintjob.
