Not long ago the power went out and so did my mysql server. I was running it as root and now it wont start:
root]# mysqld Fatal error: Please read "Security" section of the manual to find out how to run mysqld as root! 021027 12:51:23 Aborting 021027 12:51:23 mysqld: Shutdown Complete I need it to run now. How do you run it as root. Please dont tell me its insecure, I know it is, but it dosnt matter at the moment I just need it run now!!!. PLEASE help. I dont have time for to update user permissions for the tables,dbs etc. as I have scripts wich run via cron and update the database. Thanks
