Ok, so how do you get fonts to look even slightly nice in OpenOffice or Mozilla??? I am running RH 8 with KDE. Almost all other proggies render fonts with nice anti-aliasing.. grrrrrrr.
Have set font paths in XF86config and xfs config, set up font dirs as per instructions (ttmkfdir etc). I haven't created a font.alias file due to the number of fonts I have (is there an app to do this?). Would it make a difference if I did? The screen font anti-alias options in OpenOffice doesn't do a thing. I know, I know, don't use X. Sigh. mutter grumble command line mutter mutter. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew J.
