Ok, so how do you get fonts to look even slightly nice in OpenOffice or
Mozilla??? I am running RH 8 with KDE. Almost all other proggies render
fonts with nice anti-aliasing.. grrrrrrr.

Have set font paths in XF86config and xfs config, set up font dirs as
per instructions (ttmkfdir etc). I haven't created a font.alias file due
to the number of fonts I have (is there an app to do this?). Would it
make a difference if I did?

The screen font anti-alias options in OpenOffice doesn't do a thing.

I know, I know, don't use X. Sigh. mutter grumble command line mutter
mutter.
