Email recommendations

One questions now:

I have seen people ask about email clients on the list before. As an avid Eudora user I want to find a linux equivalent, so I'd love recommendations from people who have been through the painful process of finding an email client best suited to them. In Eudora I heavily use "filters", a bit of "stationary" and receive about 100 emails a day.
