You could split the cable that already runs upstairs. Your network card will only use pins 1,2,3 and 6. You can purchase 2 splitters that will split the 8 wires out to use those pins on both outlets. I get mine from Teltrac Communications (for work), but you might be able to find them in a retail store somewhere. Later David Kirk
