invaluable in these sorts of situations.  Paste your long URL in and get
a shorter one out!  For example
    http://makeashorterlink.com/?Z2BC51682

I need this a lot as the "canterbury.ac.nz" domain-name is quite long,
so many URLs from the Canterbury site are too long (>75 characters).
