... if I make some unfavourable remarks about HP's claims and it really
annoys you, then I'm afraid I can't help it.

What I had tried to point out (for the second time) was that, although
HP claims a lot of Linux friendlyness (yes they also sponsor the sane
web site), the other side of the medal is that in other areas the
difference between HP and Microsoft is remarkably close to zero. Mark
seems to have come to a similar conclusion. I didn't mean to say HP is
always bad, just that it's not always good.

Actually I find it quite ironic that HP sponsors the sane site, but
when it comes to sane-support for their own products is as anti-sane as
possible.

The story was that they didn't want to displease Billy, right?
Does that mean HP is pro-Linux as long as it's not treading on
Microsoft's territory? Does that leave an aftertaste?
