Didn't ever doubt it. They have hundreds of windows users.

The fact was with a bog standard Redhat 8.0 distro, using DSE modem, from
two different machines and two different phone lines it wouldn't work
either to homepages.paradise.net.nz or to a bunch of other locations over
many attempts.

Yet, the exact same machines and modems and settings worked on ihug, xtra
and a modem here at work. ie. There is something special about Paradise.
Maybe something special about Redhat 8.0 too.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to see whether my Paradise a/c is still
operational and try it. Maybe they have finally fixed it.

Maybe it is something special about Redhat 8.0. I would _love_ to know
what distro/version kernel version/pppd version the guys uploading those
files are using.

I would love it if they put their pppd into debug mode and sent me the log
(sanitized of any secrets). (Probably also have to tell /etc/syslog.conf
to log debug messages as well.)
