Can't find anything that talks to me in searches. Lots of mouse/touchpad problems, but not this one. That laptop site is a good one. They have three Fosa models, but not this one, a Fosa 5100. I believe it was marketed in Germany under a different name, but I can't think what it was at the minute. I'm not on a network so I can't login remotely in real time. Nothing obvious to me in the logs. The touch/track(?)pad is fine without the serial mouse. I even had it working together with an external PS/2 mouse in the past. Recently that setup is a bit temperamental too. Maybe there is just some odd hardware fault occurring. I had the same touch touchpad and die issue with a USB mouse last year. It's a low priority for me, but I thought it might be something to play with at the workshop. Cheers, Rob
