Strange kde 3.0.5a should be there for download.
So you went menu > configuration > packaging > Mandrake Update.
It then asked you for the root password? Enter the password and up pops
a box "I need to contact a
mirror..........................................." Click yes. It then
either gives you a choice of update servers to choose or goes straight
on to the next part depending on how your software sources are set up.
It then says its contacting the mirror (in the background it will
download the list of current updates make sure your connected to the
web first). After it's downloaded the list it will say some thing along
the lines of listing files then Mandrake update will pop up with a list
of all possible updates for your computer. You can then simply tick the
ones you want and click install and it will download them and install
them. However If the mandrake update window never shows up I guess it
may be possible they you some how have the full set of current updates
installed and nothing needs doing.
