Whetheryou end up using KDE or GNOME, it's a good idea (disk space permitting)
to install the libs for both.

As has been mentioned before (but worth repeating for newbies) you can run GNOME
apps under KDE and you can run KDE apps under GNOME, as long as the libs are
installed.

Like Jason says - it's personal preference.
I just installed Mandrake 9.1 last night and KDE 3.1 is a huge leap forward
from KDE 1.something that I used up til now (even though I had KDE 2.x installed).


And like Jason, I look at other guis and always return to KDE.
