True but you can't take KDE and compile it for windows with out paying out alot of money for a licence for QT. QT's GPL as long as it's run on the X windows system if you want to move to another platform like windows you must purchase a fairly expensive QT windows licence. And KDE with out QT is nothing. Thats why you'll notice all the free major software products that are cross platform (linux, windows, MacOS X etc) like OO.org, The Gimp, Evolution and so on are all gtk or something else Never QT.
