I haven't looked at the prices yet, but I have some dealer friends & a student friend 
of mine says that his department is spending ~3k on his laptop (which is an n800c) - 
so I figure it's possible.  And prices are always falling.  Of course my student 
friend may be getting bulk discount or something, in which case I won't get that model 
:)
