Volker Here I was thinking I was just asking for a bit of advice from other more experienced users, how wrong I was...
Thanks for the insight on my motives for purchasing that particular printer, financial situation and diagnosing my obvious personality disorders. I am very impressed that you managed to ascertain that I was single-handedly bent on "hindering the uptake of Linux in business" You've really sussed me out so I guess I might as well admit it... I'm bent on world domination and together with my associates Bill Gates and Dr Evil (of Austin Powers fame) I am sure we would have achieved our goal had it not been for your timely intervention And all this on the strength of a 5 line post on the CLUG mailing list Also I particularly enjoyed hearing about your scanner. Well done, keep up the good work! cheers.........dave On Sat, 28 Jun 2003 18:09, you wrote: > > I have got a new Canon i550 printer, mdk 9.1 had an updated driver list > > for my old printer but as yet I have been unable to find the later > > drivers. > > > > the manufacturer has nothing and the only other source so fat..TurboPrint > > want $$$$ > > Well, you decided to buy a printer for which you knew there was not > going to be opensource support.
