Here I was thinking I was just asking for a bit of advice from other more 
experienced users, how wrong I was...

Thanks for the insight on my motives for purchasing that particular printer, 
financial situation and diagnosing my obvious personality disorders.

I am very impressed that you managed to ascertain that I was single-handedly 
bent on "hindering the uptake of Linux in business"

You've really sussed me out so I guess I might as well admit it...

I'm bent on world domination and together with my associates Bill Gates and Dr 
Evil (of Austin Powers fame)  I am sure we would have achieved our goal had 
it not been for your timely intervention

And all this on the strength of a 5 line post on the CLUG mailing list

Also I particularly enjoyed hearing about your scanner.
