I'm not so sure about not having to defend trademarks in NZ. Last year we
got a letter from lawyers acting on behalf of Sellotape asking us to
remove the brand name from our website. It was actually a message to an
internal message board asking for the return of the dispensor. Anyhow, the
moral of the story was Sellotape were defending their trademark so they
did not lose it.
