Ah, that's a good idea. I also just found tcpbalance (http://www.snookles.com/erlang/tcpbalance/), a tcp proxy aimed at distcc specifically. I'd say we run with the auto-balancing (was it tested at the dry run?) but keep an eye on machine balance, if things are badly out of whack the manual method may be better. Brad
