so do i take it DV type 1 files are all it will process? are these the files on gets via firewire from a digital videocam? I was hoping to find something to edit files i have recorded on my analog video cam, which I can capture from the camera using my video capture card, but they do not (by default) get captured as DV Type 1. I suppose there will be some command line program with switches i can never remember to convert. does anyone know of a good tutorial explaining video formats, codecs etc for someone who hasn't many clues about such things?
