And if you like it you make a .ebuild file for the gentoo portage tree. [ ... ] I agree linux is not yet up to it as far as many convenience features are concerned, but for me it is the unique linux/unix things that make it for me. Things like a sensible security system etc., etc.. I notice that at long last MS have taken the hint / been told to by the Security Service and are now going to deliver Win with the daemons off. About time too imnsho.
