This happened to me once.
A whole lot of people I knew got a virus with my address in
the 'from' field.
I'm sure it was one of the other people in the group, and
the virus picked _my_ address from the address book to
spoof as the 'from' address.

What made it worse is that these were people to whom
I had been extolling the virtues of linux. Then they think
they got a virus from my computer!
