Absolutely. As I said, PITA.

Good, you'll have your own domains for that.

Sorry, not me. The problem vanishes after 8 Oct, when you'll send them
an email asking them to turn it off (and both filters can be turned off
individually, so I understand their reply). For the first month, you
could try to kick up enough of a fuss so that they might turn it off
for you earlier. You'll have my support for the fuss, as I don't like
being the silly-bugger for them to bragg about their new filters over.

If it's really *that* important for you and your clients, you'd have
your own mail server anyway, where you can tweak things down to the last
nano-bit.

Paradise's mail server is still good (e.g. they even give you both
envelope headers, e.g. Registerdirect does not) and they're a good ISP
- very helpful, fast response, connection is good, downtime is minimal
(restricted to when Telstra upgrades the network infrastructure, well
for me anyway). They don't have any dumb ideas about you running any
server you like, hell they even set up a backup MX for you no trouble,
just ask (do they charge for this?). Their (non-)transparent proxy is a
bonus from my point of view (a little less user tracking). You need to
have a URL excluded? Send email.

What about the possibility that their spam filter is indeed a good one.
You want to pressure Paradise about some decent access to the blocked
mails? Count me in.

Your suggestion to change from Paradise to Telescum sounds like a
suggestion to change to Redmond (same bed, anyway). Same extortionate
mental attitude too (or is that the same thing?).
