As far as the software is concerned it matters not one jot which distro you use because all the operating programs are identical. The differences between the various distros are all in the installation method, and the methods used to set up, stop and start the daemons. There is also the aesthetic and cosmetic differences, but you don't need to concern youself with these because, because you are, sensibly, not going to be running an X-11 Server. Take care to choose a higher class of NIC, some of the el-cheapo ones are just rubbish.
