I can recommend Ascent: http://www.ascent.co.nz/ They're based in Wellington but use local suppliers (i.e. Chch for us) when possible. I've bought 2 complete computers (and misc. other parts) from them over the last two-and-a-bit years. For the first, I had the parts sent to me. For the second, I specified the parts and had them put it together. Their pre- and after-sale support is excellent: quick replies to email, clueful advice, polite, happy to deal with problems[1], ... You'll find lower prices if you shop around but, IMO, paying a few dollars extra is worthwhile. (I mean, I can't afford disasters.) [1] I've only had one problem, actually - that was with the first computer. The motherboard (Asus A7V) needed a BIOS update before it'd play with the 1GHz Duron - meaning I had to plug in a slower CPU temporarily. Since I didn't happen to have a slower CPU, Ascent took care of it free of charge. Plug plug plug. Tim -- Timothy Musson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~trmusson/ . .
