I had the same deal in Wellington a couple of years back with Paradise cable. We were on the 128k-10gig plan and got regular (most of the time) 512k speeds! We didn't complain, and they didn't find out. I'd be pretty sure they wouldn't make you pay if you haven't done anything. Then again - Paradise is not telecom! Telecom are %%$$%$#&^%$&%$^$%*$^%&^^*&$&^%$#%$^

Hi there,

Hi All,

I have something weird going on with my Jetstream (Jetstart) account. I have ICONZ as my ISP with Telecom (of couse) providing my actual ADSL line. I signed up for Jetstart (uncapped) which they reckon should be about 3x the speed of dialup at around 15-16K/s. Well, when they just recently changed their pricing structures and speeds, JetStart was to be unaffected and still be cap free. I still only pay $30/Mo for the ADSL line and 22.50 to ICONZ. Well, I am happy to report that now I am getting a WHOPPING 200K/s speeds and faster. I can regularly have concurrent 120K/s ftp download sessions running at the same time. Looks like they screwed up and switched me to JetStream for free. I am not saying anything of course but just wondering if anyone else is having this same turn of good luck?

Um, you may get a shock when your iconz and telescum bills come through.

I would be inclined to ask why you are getting the higher speeds, because
if they have accidentally removed your Jetstart bandwidth restriction you
may also find they have accidentally put you on the full Jetstream price
plan too (read expensive!)...

Kind regards,

Chris Wilkinson,
Christchurch.
