I am forwarding this to the list cos roger replied to me. I am not sure
what is the best thing to do next. perhaps dmesg and see if there are
any errors on inserting the kernel module.

err...really obvious stuff like check the cabling and hub...


I assume there is only one network interface on the ipcop box (ie the
red interface is a modem?)
