This is about as bad as the version you criticise. Many parts of a
modern Linux system come from GNU, many others do not, e.g. apache,
perl?, open office?. If I went through the 4-digit number of packages
on my disribution disks, only a fraction of them are GNU projects (and
no, I won't do it because I have better things to do).

Using the GPL doesn't mean it's a GNU project.
