This is my first email composed using the Model M. It's definitely a well built keyboard, but quite noisy. The tactile feedback is the best out of any keyboard I can remember using. I think I'll use it as my keyboard of choice from now on. It was manufactured in 93, and feels like it will last at least another 10 years, prbably much longer.
The only problem is the \ key is in the "wrong" place. The best position for the \ key is to the right of the left-shift. The worst place is next to backspace. the 2nd worst is right of ', and 3rd worst is between enter and backspace. The Model M has 3rd worst. Oh, and no microsoft-advertising on any of the keys either - I never used those keys anyway.
