Does yours have the removable key caps?
Yes - I've already pulled one off to see what was underneath. Mine is a slightly later model - doesn't have a removable cable, but does have the drain-holes.
I like pulling the key caps off the model M's and rearranging the keyboard into a Dvorak layout and then setting the keyboard language to Dvorak. It's an excellent way of stopping people from using my computer - they give up after about 30 seconds (Argh! The keys are all in the wrong place! I can't use this!)
LOL. Trouble is, for me, not only will it stop *other* people from using the computer, it will also stop *me* from using the computer.
BTW, I checked out some second hand prices for the keyboard: US$15-$38. I got mine for the equivalent of US$3. What a bargain!
My wife rolled her eyes though.
Cheers, Carl.
