I think the main concern would be the type of memory card you'll be using, as that 
determines the reader writer.  It may be extra spending, but having a separate 
reader/writer is much easier to troubleshoot then trying to get a camera to talk to 
Linux.  Just my 2cents worth.  :)

Hi all

I'm in the market for an basic digital camera, nothing to flash (excuse the 
pun), maybe 3Mpix <$4-500)

Obviously it will need to be Linux compatable, and as I stuffed up recently 
when I bought my (non-linux supported) Canon i550 printer, I thought this 
time I would get the good oil first

Any suggestions or current bargans would be appreciated
