Agree'd and we have them for $44 online. Being in the business, I might also suggest a camera that support Compact Flash as you'll get the most bang for the buck with that format. It's not the smallest format (thus why Memory Stick, SD and XD are becoming so popular) but it is the best value by far if that is your sole determinate. We will have Sony Cameras online (at lowest in NZ prices) within a week if anyone is keen to wait. We will be doing some bundling with readers/cards etc. at the time.

Cheers

I think the main concern would be the type of memory card you'll be using, as that determines the reader writer. It may be extra spending, but having a separate reader/writer is much easier to troubleshoot then trying to get a camera to talk to Linux. Just my 2cents worth. :)

Hi all

I'm in the market for an basic digital camera, nothing to flash (excuse the pun), maybe 3Mpix <$4-500)

Obviously it will need to be Linux compatable, and as I stuffed up recently when I bought my (non-linux supported) Canon i550 printer, I thought this time I would get the good oil first

Any suggestions or current bargans would be appreciated
