you need to be more specific with your error messages

urpmi is the mandrake update tool. go read about it.

if you had to do nodeps then you were missing something. it means
you are missing a dependency, ie something that
Xfree86-server-4.3-5.mdk-i586.rpm needs to work properly. urpmi will fix
that.

anyway the proper rpm syntax for updating is -U not -i. but as i said
you should not need to use rpm. use urpmi. (did i say that enough times
now??)
