I recently purchased a Compaq Armada 1750 off trademe.co.nz for $375
Specs:
Pentium II 366MHz / 128MB RAM / 2GB HDD (unfortunatly a little on the small side)
On the day of arrival I had Slack Current installed and working a charm, running
2.4.23 and 2.6.1. Winmodem works and just treated it to an 802.11g WiFi too.
Only complaint is that it is an 800x600 model but you get what you pay for.
