"The list" doesn't care. It may have been that particular people on the list wanted to know about these devices. Fine. Contact them off list. Would these sorts of commercial posts still be acceptable in your eyes if it was not one, but five, fifty, or five hundred commercial vendors posting similar advertisements? That message, and many (but not all) of your commercial plugs are inappropriate for a list where most of the subscribers are helping each other without expecting to financially profit from their fellow posters.
