Partition Magic Version 8 can covert from primary to logical. I have not tried it though, but it says it can. Ciao, Dave

However you can backup your installed distro on one parititon to another, then use fdisk to delete that partition, and create an extended one instead, then fill that with logical partitions, then restore the backup to the target partition. Finally you will have to bend the filesystem you restore to make it smaller.
