If you prefer the login Screen Red Hat uses or the Default Kde one you can
install them and set them up via.
as Su or Via Install Software.

For the Redhat style one
urpmi gdm
Kde's default
urpmi kdm

Then run Mandrake Control Centre.
Menu > System > Configuration > configure your computer.
Go system > Display Manager.
And choose which ever you prefer then reboot. OR Save any work.
Press ctrl + alt + F1
Login as root and run the commands.
init 3
then once thats finished. (init 3 is a partial reboot shuts down all graphical
apps)
init 5
(init 5 is full GUI).

Install the updates and the updated Kernel if there is one.
As explained in my first email.

To install the newest Kernel avaliable you'll need to run
urpmi --update kernel
After installing the other updates.
If it offers a list of different kernels you want the 2.6.X-Xmdk one not one
of the other odd ones.
