I find the easiest way to stop the printer is to pull out the 
paper feed tray. That stops it at the end of the page. One can then go to
the 
print queue and remove that particular print job.

Chris, that is the easiest way to break a printer, unless the tray pull
direction is in line with the paper feed direction. If you pull the tray out
perpendicular to the paper feeding is can easily cause torn paper and other
damage.
