Hmm, There are those various applications still alive that do not support the middle mouse button for pasting. Pine for example, has the setting where you shift button and middle click to paste. The counter view is that pine is "old and clunky". Whatever your take on pine, it illustrates the point, "There are applications etc out there where it don't work right" Derek.
