It seems that YD is somewhat maintained, at least for embedded ppc systems (great for routers). De facto you might (will?) end up having to compile Debian yourself. Dunno about Mdk, SuSE has by the looks of it discontinued their ppc version (but have a 64 bit version for effectively naught now). The last ppc one available is I think 7.3. SuSE 7.3 was a superb release, but a little dated now (2.5y I think). If there's a downloadable version, check ftp.suse.com or their mirror page. Drfloppy used to sell this version. Not sure whether YD is free, you may have to tell Mac owners that they'll have to caugh up some cash. (Es war schon immer etwas teurer, einen besonderen Geschmack zu haben... ;))) ) The main question you want to ask is whether any ppc version is as good as the vendor's x86 version (there are several factors why this need not be the case).
