I was getting a message saying ...

can't create list file: Permission denied at /usr/bin/genhdlist line 78.
and another saying

error on line 68 must be relative to /usr/bin

I tried it with the path to genhdlist tacked onto the end of the command line.
and at the begining.

eg bash-2.05b$ genhdlist --dest /home/dave/rpms /usr/bin <-- error line 68

not really sure what i did differently (think it was putting the /usr/bin at
the start as in the copied command below.

Now what a load of bollocks.....

i did the command before and got an error message i now do it and it bloody
well works!!!

I can type in genhdlsit and it works (with me being in the rpms directory).
maybe because i had not used it before the system didnt have a config file
for genhdlist.

again thanks for the time and effort.
