I use alsa, no problems here. Had a bit of trouble with OSS when I last tried. #From /etc/modules.... snd-via82xx snd-pcm-oss For some reason since I updated the kernel-image-2.6.6-1-686 to kernel-image-2.6.7-1-686 the "snd-seq-oss" no longer works and always fails with "Device or resource busy", but using "snd-pcm-oss" works fine. I'm quite impressed with alsa support these days, I didn't notice the missing /dev/dsp until I loaded up quake3 :) Seems all of my other applications using sound were picking up alsa and using that instead.
