Frankly Rik, as I cannot remember what I did to partition the disk, we
are clutching at straws to try and use this as any precedent for future
problems and how to stop things going wrong again. I knew from the start
that it was to be a dual booter so I _doubt_ that I installed win98 in
10 G and then tried to make it smaller. More likely I used a
partitioning tools first, which one I cannot recall.
