Hi all,

Just in case anyone is casually interested, I have been playing with Dallas
temperature sensors and Linux. I am building a weather station, and the
first step is to build the instruments. The second step is to collect data
and the final step is to present it tidily. Rinse and repeat for every
instrument.

Anyway, my first results (temperature sensing) are here:

I am using Debian stable (Woody), but I had to download DigiTemp as there
is no apt-gettable package, and compile Ploticus as the apt-gettable
package is old and, er, crappy. Graphs are uploaded to paradise with ftp-
I am not running my own server.

I have been inspired by Jeff Northcott's weather page (Google is your
friend). He is in Hillmorton, and has a good set-up. It will take me some
time to build and test all the instruments I want, but still, it's a lot of
fun.

Andy
