Just in case anyone is casually interested, I have been playing with Dallas temperature sensors and Linux. I am building a weather station, and the first step is to build the instruments. The second step is to collect data and the final step is to present it tidily. Rinse and repeat for every instrument.

Looks nifty, although I think your external temperature sensor must be in the sun at certain parts of the day. I didn't think we had maximums in the 20's last week.
