Here's the fortnightly thing from the Computer Society.

I'm a bit worried about that venue for the next meeting of ours though.

I thought we were going to be going to that new hall out St Albans way.
Forthcoming IT-related events in Canterbury (August 28, 2004)

Rik: The booked date is more than 3 weeks away.
What's the objection to moving?

"If it ain't broke, why fix it [more expensively]?"

But it _is_ broke!
The Sydenham hall is much too small for a full turnout.
It's cheaper if there is only a small turnout, the charge is limited to only $2 a head, with a cap of $25. It has the, imho huge, advantage of a fast adsl internet line, and is generally far superior.

What is the date of the last booking you have organised at the Sydenham
Hall?

GNU/Linux support meetings are organised for Sydenham into 2005.

Let's ask the question again.
What is the actual date of the last meeting you have organized and booked the hall for?

February 2005

Call an AGM & set up meetings in St Albans if you wish.

I don't want to be the cause of a split of the membership.
