I feel this reflects the cliquey nature of OSS - a world of its own, quite happily (obliviously) servicing the machine of our collective bondage.

In denial of - and so standing to lose - its Freedom.

We are more than a subset of technical experts: we can become conscious that is what we are, and connect more widely with a community, concerned with wider qualities (than software).
