your problems are certainly going to be different to the next person's, but maybe we should try an evening where a "panel" answers questions from the floor.
Trouble-shooting BYO PC nights would be sure to be a big hit. Look at how many people turned up (complete with boxes, cables, 17-inch monitors) for the InstallFest follow-up.
I can't initiate this, as I'd be a consumer rather than a provider. It depends most on whether the experienced members can face the prospect of a night of trouble-shooting.
