Like many FLOSS organisations, the CLUG does what people want to do. If someone wants to do something, then they will volunteer and it will get done. I can appreciate how difficult it would be for a newbie, and how frustrating it must be trying to follow some of the discussions on this list. However, the reason that there is so much " techies talking techie stuff" is that that is what people want to do. If you ask a newbie question, chances are that someone will try and help. The CLUG does try to help newbies, even if it fail sometimes. The installfests are aimed at newbies, and there are often help sessions through the year. My talk next month is aimed at newbies; even though you will get *no* help in getting X11 going you will at least finish the evening by knowing *what* X11 is ;) > Is Google the answer to everything?
